InSyncer for MYOB Exo

InSyncer for MYOB Exo connects a Shopify store to MYOB Exo Business. It is the connector to use when Exo is the system of record for stock, customers, and financials.

Who this is for

• Need orders, stock, products, and customer records to stay in sync without CSV exports

Each area can be enabled independently, so you can go live on stock alone and add the rest later.

Connection requirements

InSyncer talks to Exo through the MYOB Exo API. It does not connect directly to your Exo SQL Server database, so there is no database login to issue and no SQL port to open.

You need:

1. MYOB Exo API credentials — a username, a password, and an API token. These are entered during onboarding.
2. A Shopify store with the InSyncer app installed, which grants the Admin API access InSyncer needs.
3. A matching Exo stock code for every product you want to sync.

Map SKUs before go-live

Stock levels only match when the Shopify variant SKU equals the Exo stock code. Unmatched SKUs are skipped for stock sync. For orders, a missing or unrecognised SKU causes Exo to reject the whole order — not just that line.

Exo stock codes are limited to 23 characters

InSyncer matches on the first 23 characters of the Shopify SKU, because that is Exo’s stock code length. Two Shopify SKUs that differ only after the 23rd character will collide. Keep SKUs unique within the first 23 characters.

Suggested rollout

1. Connect Exo and confirm the connection succeeds.
2. Map your Shopify locations to Exo warehouses, then turn on stock sync and check a handful of known SKUs.
3. Turn on order push with a start date set so historic orders are not back-filled.
4. Add product creation, customer sync, and fulfilment once orders are landing cleanly.
